The State Emergency Operation Center has been activated following the confirmation of 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Iowa, including cases of community spread.

Gov. Reynolds issued a State of Public Health Disaster Emergency Proclamation activating the public health response and recovery aspects of the State Disaster Emergency Plan effective at noon on March 17, 2020. In response to the emergency proclamation, the Iowa Department of Transportation has taken the following actions effective March 18, 2020, until the declared disaster has ended. Full details are available on the IDOT website.
