When a CEO receives a call in the middle of the night and is told that a major disaster has happened somewhere in the world, the first question he/she always asks is "Are our employees ok?" 

Helping employees recover is often the first way that companies assist disaster survivors.  Not only does it align with the values of the organization, it also makes good business sense.   You can't expect employees to be focused on their jobs when their homes are destroyed or their children cannot go to school or daycare.

But, the range of resources that companies offer employees after disasters is enormous.  Which ones are the most effective?
