Seminar & Tabletop Exercise: IOWARN

The Iowa Water/Wastewater Agency Response Network (IOWARN) is a network of "utilties helping utilities." This network helps water and wastewateer utilities locate emergency assistance in the form of personnel, equipment, materials and other services. IOWARN is proudly hosting a free two-day event that includes a seminar and tabletop exercise (TTX).

Seminar and TTX Description: The seminar includes representatives from IOWARN and other agencies who will discuss the program and its benefits. The TTX will demonstrate IOWARN operations in the event of an actual emergency and how utilities can assist other utilities. The seminar and the TTX have been designed in accordance with Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) guidelines and are open to member utilities and response partnrs as well as non-member utilities that are interested in joining or learning more about IOWARN.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs): Water and wastewater operators who participate will receive hours towards their license renewal requirements.    

Seminar Timeline: 

Wednesday October 3rd

Check-in: 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm
Tabletop Exercise: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

TTX Timeline: 

Thursday October 4th

Check-in:                  8:00 am – 8:30 am
Tabletop Exercise:     8:30 am – 12:00 pm
