EMForum.org is pleased to host a one hour presentation and interactive discussion Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Our topic will be an update on the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and the development of the National Mitigation Framework. As stated in the currently available working draft, "... this Framework outlines how the Nation can expand its commitment to mitigation and strengthen resilience at a local level."

Our guest will be Federal Insurance and Mitigation Administration (FIMA) Associate Administrator David L. Miller. Prior to joining FEMA during September 2011, Mr. Miller served as the Administrator for the Iowa Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. He has also served as the President and Vice-President of the National Emergency Management Association, and has been a member of FEMA's National Advisory Council. Mr. Miller is a graduate the Naval Postgraduate School Executive Education Program in Homeland Security.
