Jasper County will be hosting the Wide Area Search Class- PER 213 here in Jasper County at the EOC and in the field March 29th through the 31st. The Class is being put on by Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service(TEEX).
Participants will be instructed in practical search methods and skills to perform systematic searches over a large affected area. The course content applies to a vast number of critical situations, including natural disasters or terrorist incidents. Topics include search management and planning, mapping, search strategies and skills, team management and communication.
Prerequisites: IS-100 Introduction to the Incident Command System or equivalent IS-200 Incident Command System for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents.
